We build a "Mason's Frame" for installation in new construction. It is installed in front of the firebox prior to the masonry veneer. The frame is built heavy so that the Mason can stack his rockwork over the structure.
The fireplace doors are attached with bolts to the Mason's frame so the door is truly built in to the wall. This system allows for ease of installation and can be shipped anywhere.
Here the Mason's frame has just been attached to the "rough in" and the rock work is ready to be applied
The rock work is now being applied that will eventually completely surround the frame.
Finally the finished product! The Mason's frame has been completely wrapped in rock and our hand-forged fireplace doors have given a unique custom look to the fireplace.
